Becoming whole

Becoming Whole

For a long time, she believed she had to leave every painful part of herself behind before she could find peace.

So she waited for the storm to pass. She waited for the memories to soften, for her thoughts to quiet, for the day she would finally feel like herself again.

But life kept bringing both rain and sunlight.

In this artwork, lightning crosses one side of her world while golden light fills the other. She stands between them, eyes gently closed, taking a breath. Both landscapes belong to her story.

Flowers grow through the tangled branches around her. Water moves past mountains and quiet homes. At her heart, a small tree shines, its roots reaching deep into the places she once wished she could forget.

Slowly, she begins to understand: she can care for the parts of herself that still hurt. She can welcome joy without feeling guilty. She can rest without having every answer.

There will still be difficult days. There will also be small, ordinary moments when she notices beauty again—a flower opening, sunlight on water, the comfort of her own breath.

“Becoming Whole” is about making room for all of ourselves: the tenderness, the uncertainty, the courage, and the hope we are still learning to trust.

She opens her heart to the life before her, carrying her story with greater kindness.

And beneath the flowers, her roots keep growing.
